The book of Genesis is replete with divine seeds that resonate throughout the Scriptures and consummates in the book of Revelation. Between these two bookends, many seeds are produced, developed, and manifested to reveal God’s goal and plan, that is, to have Christ as the centrality and universality of His divine economy to dispense Himself into His redeemed, regenerated, and transformed people to establish His Kingdom with His authority for His expression and magnification. God’s eternal economy is the focal point in all Scripture.
What is God’s eternal economy? According to His divine economy, He created man in His image and after His likeness as a container, vessel, receptacle that He can dispense Himself into man and make man the same as He is in life and in nature (but not in the Godhead) with His divine attributes expressed through human virtues. Through His divine dispensing, infusing, and transfusing, God would have a called, chosen, redeemed, regenerated, transformed, conformed, and glorified people that He may produce the Church, the Body of Christ as His counterpart, building, habitation, enlargement, reproduction, multiplication, and dwelling place. In this way, through His perpetual dispensing of Himself into His people to produce His many sons who are matured, living members of the organic Body of Christ, the Church. The Church, as a living organism, will become the corporate Bride of Christ in the new heaven and the new earth. Christ and His Bride will corporately consummate in the New Jerusalem building, where God in Christ will have full manifestation, expression, and magnification for all eternity!
A. What is divine authority, and why is it Significant in our Christian walk?
The intrinsic significance of God’s divine authority in His Kingdom is the Throne. It is the Throne of God that substantiates His divine authority. The Throne is the centrality and universality of God’s Kingdom. The entire universe is under God’s divine authority by which He appoints all other authorities. There is only one supreme authority in the universe, that is, God’s Throne. The supremacy of God’s divine authority transcends all human governmental institutions, including its constitution.
Who, being the effulgence of His glory and the impress of His substance and upholding and bearing all things by the Word of His power, having made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;... (Hebrews 1:3).
According to the divine principle, this verse reveals that by the Word of His power He upholds and bears all things.
According to the divine principle, this verse reveals that by the Word of His power He upholds and bears all things.
Significantly, it does not indicate that God upholds and bears all things by His power. However, it emphatically states that God upholds and bears all things by the Word of His power. Only God’s divine authority characterizes His deity and supremacy in His Word. God’s power is characterized by His works. Another case in point is in Genesis 1:3, where God said, “...let there be light; and there was light.” This verse reveals the Word of His power, not the power itself.
All believers in Christ who desire to follow Him, pursue Him, gain Him, and know Him, must be those who live, walk, and have their entire being under the principle of the Throne of God’s divine authority. Hence, Christendom must lay aside their self-likeness, vain glory, self-esteem, position, self-exaltation, self-glory, and humanistic supremacy to submit to the supremacy of God’s divine authority. Being under the preeminent Throne of God’s divine authority is the only way we can serve Him supremely in submission. Do you know the Throne of God? Have you experienced His Throne? Are you willing to experience the Throne of God?
